We flew from Miami on Chalk's Airlines in a small seaplane taking off from and landing in the water, a great experience! There is a 30lb. bag limit so be prepared to pay a little extra for all your dive gear. It is known as the "BIG GAME FISHING CAPITAL OF THE WORLD" but the diving is great.
We stayed at the Big Game Club (49 roooms) - clean, modern rooms, the largest hotel on the island, a nice pool and bar overlooking the harbor, and about a 5 minute walk to the boat. Other places include:
We dove with Bimini Undersea Adventures and were treated very well by Melanie and Heather who helped us with our gear on the boat, knew the dive sites very well, and had lots of stories about the magic of Bimini - Atlantis ; the Fountain of Youth ; the Bermuda triangle. Three dives a day - two in the morning..leaving promptly at 8:30am, back for lunch 45mins-1hr. and off again for the afternoon dive.
